Shipping & Delivery


Confectionery House is located at 975 Hoosick Road, Troy, New York 12180.

Our store front hours are: Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Our store front is closed Sundays and Mondays. Even though our store is closed on Mondays, our shipping department still works to process orders.

We do not accept phone orders at this time.

 

Processing Times and Shipping Times-

 

Processing time is the time it takes for us to gather orders together and prepare them to ship.

 

Shipping time aka transit time is the time it takes UPS or USPS to deliver the items.

 

Processing times and shipping times can take longer depending on Holidays and weather. Please contact us if you have any questions.

 

Most orders placed before 8am EST Monday through Friday will process and ship that day as long as all items are in stock. Weather and Holidays can cause delays.

 

Orders that contain very large quantities, quantity discounted items, cases, and bulk discounted items can take longer to ship depending on whether we have to order them from our suppliers or if we have them on hand. It never hurts to call or e-mail us to get an estimated ship time.

 

How to select a shipping method-

Transit times above are approximate and do not include processing time please see additional information below that will pertain to the shipping method you choose

We process and ship out orders Monday through Friday. Your order must be placed before 8am EST for it to process that Day.

 For example, if you place your order on Friday after 8am EST, your order will not ship out until Monday. If that Monday happens to be a holiday, it would not ship out until Tuesday.

 UPS-

 UPS Ground, 2nd Day and Next Day air do not deliver to PO boxes. Please provide your physical delivery address

 Be aware that UPS does not deliver over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will not count as shipping /transit days. If you place your order before 8am EST on a Friday be aware that UPS does not deliver over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday would not count as shipping/transit days.

UPS does not deliver on major US holidays and sometimes does not deliver the day before or the day after a holiday. Please see the UPS website for their holiday schedule.

UPS also does not guarantee delivery in the event of in-climate weather or during the period of December 11th to December 24th

 

UPS Ground- please see the map above for an estimated ship time (not guaranteed). Be aware that weekends do not count as transit time.

 

Sure Post- a great cost effective option for heavier items/packages and for customers not in a hurry to receive their items. Sure post generally takes 1-2 days longer than UPS Ground (not guaranteed). Add 1-2 days onto the transit times located on the map above.

How Sure post differs from UPS Ground—sure post is picked up by UPS and brought to the destination city. From there it is then picked up by USPS and delivered to you.

 

3 Day select, 2 Day select, and next day air-  These are expedited methods of shipping that are guaranteed to arrive within that time frame (once the package is shipped). Transit time begins on the following day that your order ships. Some exclusions apply.  Example- You've placed your order on a Monday before 8am est,you selected 3 day select, your order would ship that day (as long as all items are in stock) and arrive on Thursday. Please rememeber some exclusions apply ie. weather, holidays, etc..

Next day air is guaranteed to arrive on the next business day from which you placed your order.  For example- You’ve placed your order on a Tuesday before 8am est and you have selected next day air as your shipping method. You would receive your order on Wednesday by the end of the day as long as all the items you ordered are in stock. You will be contacted by phone or e-mail if something is out of stock.

If delays are caused from weather or holidays UPS will not guarantee their expedited shipping methods

Weekends do not count as shipping days/transit time

For example- you’ve place your order before 8am est Friday and selected next day air saver- you would receive your order on Monday(weather and holidays permitted) because UPS does not deliver over the weekend.

 

 USPS-

 USPS delivers Monday through Saturday. Saturday counts as transit time, however take note we do not process and ship any orders over the weekend. None of the USPS methods of shipping are guaranteed other than Express Mail which is guaranteed to arrive in 1-2 days. Please note that all methods can be delayed due to weather and holidays. Shipping time begins the day after your order ships.

 

USPS First Class- a cost effective (slower) shipping option for small items weighing under 13 oz. This shipping method generally takes 1-6 days (weather and holidays permitting) to reach its destination (not guaranteed).

 

USPS Priority Mail- please see the above map for estimated shipping times. (not guaranteed)

 

USPS Express Mail- Guaranteed to arrive within 1-2 business days (weather and holidays can cause delays).

 

 

International Orders

International orders can take anywhere from 7-21 days to receive but it is all dependent on customs within each country. A signature may be required at some addresses. Shipping prices do not include duties, taxes, brokerage, or custom fees. You will be required to pay them at the time of delivery.


 Availability of items-

 

Most of our items are kept in-stock. From time to time some items may go out of stock but can usually be retrieved from our suppliers within a few days.

 

Items that are temporarily out of stock will not show up listed as out of stock on our website. If an item is temporarily out of stock you will be notified (usually by e-mail) at the time we process your order. You will be given the option to ship your order short and cancel the out of stock item, or we can hold the entire order until the out of stock item is available.

 

Items listed on our website as out of stock (in red)- these are items that will be out of stock for an undetermined length of time, seasonal, or may not be available any longer. Please call us at 518-279-4250 for more information.

 

How you will be contacted regarding the status of an item-

 Most generally you will be e-mailed regarding item status, if you would like a phone call regarding the status of your items, please utilize the comment box with your request. We understand that our customers have deadlines to meet, we try to ship orders quickly and communicate with our customers. If you have an order that is extremely time sensitive, it is always best to call 518-279-4250 or e-mail info@confectioneryhouse.com to make us aware, this way we can check the availability of the items you are ordering. We strive to communicate and work effectively with our customers to ensure their shipping time is met.

Due to the nature of our products Confectionery House has a ZERO return Policy.

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards.
  • We do not accept mail orders. Any mail order will be returned to you and not fulfilled.
