Liquor Filled Chocolate Bottles

Chocolate filled liquor bottles are a delicious and fancy gift to give out during the holidays but they can be quite expensive to buy. This liquor filled chocolate bottles recipe is an affordable way to give these chocolate bottles out to adult friends during any occasion. Make them using creamy Merckens chocolate melts, our liquor bottle chocolate mold, and wrap with candy foil wrappers for a professional shiny finish.

Use the recipe below to make the filling and then follow these steps to make chocolate liquor bottles for filling.

How to use 3D small cordial liquor bottle mold

Melt Merckens Chocolate Melts according to our microwave directions (see how to melt Merckens here) or over a double boiler on low.

Using scissors, cut the candy mold in half and remove the outer frame of the mold.

Fill one half of the mold with melted Merckens.

Place the empty half of the mold over top and align the cavities.

Clip with binder clips all the way around the mold and flip back and forth to distribute the chocolate evenly inside the cavities. If you want more tips on how to make a 3D hollow piece of chocolate, check out our how to make a chocolate bunny tutorial. Although the chocolate bunny is much larger, the concept of making it is the same.

Place in the refrigerator, laying down on one side, for one minute (set a timer).

Keep flipping the mold every minute for a total of 10 minutes.

Let set in the refrigerator for an additional 5 minutes without flipping.

When the chocolates have completely set up, the move will remove easily and the chocolate will release from the mold. If the chocolate will not release from the mold easily, let set in the refrigerator for another 5 to 10 minutes.

After removing the chocolate bottles from the mold, let them set at room temperature.

Using a sharp craft knife, the tip of a tooth pick, or another sharp pointed tool, poke a hole in the divot that's located on each chocolate bottle.

Gently squeeze cooled liquor candy filling into the hole, until the bottle is 3/4 filled.

Top the open hole with melted chocolate to seal the filling inside of the chocolate bottle.

Wrap with candy foil wrappers and store at room temperature for up to one week.
