Give your chocolate covered Oreo cookies an upgrade this Valentine’s day!

Ladybug Oreo cookies are a step up from your normal dipped Oreos. These little love bugs are sure to impress, making cute Valentine’s day gifts or a fun project for your kids.

Note: 1 pound of pink candy coatings should be enough to dip approximately 2 dozen Oreo cookies. Buying one package each of icing eyes, multi-colored heart sprinkles, and merckens milk candy coatings will be more than enough to decorate 2 dozen ladybug cookies.

Supplies you’ll need:
1 LB Pink Merkens Candy Coatings
1 LB Milk Chocolate Merckens Candy Coatings
3/16 icing eyes
Multi colored heart sprinkles
Black Edible Food Writing Pens
Corn syrup

First, line a sheet pan with a piece of parchment paper. Melt the pink merckens candy coatings, and dip oreo cookies. Place them on the parchment paper to dry, topping each cookie as you dip, with a merckens milk chocolate candy coating for the head.

When you’re done dipping, pop them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to harden them completely.

Ladybug Oreo Cookies How to Make

Adhere the icing eyes by using corn syrup as an edible “glue” or melted chocolate. Use a toothpick to brush corn syrup on the backs of the eyes and heart sprinkles and adhere them to your cookies. We picked out all the white hearts, but you can use any color!
