We’ve got you covered with 5 unique ideas for Father’s Day using chocolate molds.

There’s one thing most dads have in common, they have a sweet tooth!

Break Apart Chocolate Bar for Father's Day

1. His favorite chocolate bar, make it custom just for him!
For flavor combination ideas and instructions on how to make homemade chocolate bars SEE HERE. You can even wrap chocolate bars in foil candy wrappers to make them extra jazzy!

Father's Day Chocolate Lollipops

2. A fun lollipop telling him he’s your number one.
These lollipops are easy to make, paint the letters with melted colored Merckens coatings, place melted coatings into pastry bags and fill “Dad” outline with melted chocolate.

Let harden for about 5 minutes in the refrigerator. Pour melted milk, white, or dark candy coatings right over top.

Add lollipop sticks, turning the sticks in the mold to cover in melted Merckens, and refrigerate for about 10 minutes. Remove the pops from the mold. If you feel like it, be a little extra and wrap these lollipops in fancy cello bags.

Pro tip: when painting on the letters, keep them neat and tidy, by using a q-tip to clean up melted chocolate that’s gone outside the lines.

Giant Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup

3. Make Dad an extra large peanut butter cup fit for the king that he is!
This giant peanut butter cup mold is always a huge hit! It’s 4-inches wide and holds lots of yummy peanut butter filling.

To get started making homemade chocolate peanut butter cups all you’ll need is a mold, some merckens candy coatings in milk, white, or dark, and a GREAT peanut butter filling recipe.

See HERE to make our peanut butter filling recipe, it’s the best, and Dad will LOVE it! If you have leftovers that you don’t want to mold, Just roll the leftover peanut butter filling into balls and dip into melted merckens candy coatings. Peanut butter balls are an extra treat you can give to Dad, or keep for yourself!

One batch of peanut butter filling will make four giant peanut butter cups.

Tool Candy Mold Chocolates

4. Sweet Tools for All the Hard Work Dad Does.
Add a few heaping spoonfuls of chocolate cookie crumbs to ½ pound of melted white merckens coatings. This makes the tools gray. (It also makes the white chocolate taste like cookies and cream!). Melt colored candy coatings (any color you’d like) to fill in the handles of the tools or anywhere you’d like a little color. You can find the tool chocolate mold we used HERE.

Pour the white chocolate-cookie mixture into any areas you’d like gray, and pour the colored coatings into any areas you’d like colored. Allow to harden at room temperature for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Fill the rest of the mold with melted merckens white or colored coatings and let harden for about 10 to 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

Carefully turn the mold over to release the chocolate pieces from the mold.

Chocolate Pizza Father's Day Ideas

5. Chocolate Pizza.
Do we need to say more? Most Dads love pizza!

What You Need for this Project:

Pizza crust mold
Pizza toppings mold.
1 LB Merckens White Chocolate
1 LB Merckens Milk Chocolate
1 LB Rainbow Colored Merckens Coatings

To Make:
Make the Crust:
Reserve about 12 chips of merckens white chocolate and set aside. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, Add about 6 chips of merckens milk chocolate candy coatings and the remaining one pound bag of Merckens White Coatings.

Melt 20 seconds at a time in the microwave, stirring in between intervals. Repeat until coatings are fully melted. See how to melt merckens candy coatings HERE.

Once melted, pour into the pizza crust chocolate mold. Tap the filled mold onto the countertop to release air bubbles to the top. Allow to cool and harden in the refrigerator for about 15 to 20 minutes or until it easily releases from the mold.

Make the Toppings:
Grab a mixed bag of Rainbow Colored Merckens Coatings and separate red and green pieces, you’ll need about 10 to 12 chips of each. You’ll also need about one or two chips from the bag of milk chocolate and about 12 chips from the bag of white candy coatings.

Melt red and green separately in glass prep bowls for around 5 to 10 seconds at a time in the microwave, stirring in between. Pour each color into the cavities for the pepperoni and peppers.

Melt together 10 to 12 chips of white candy coatings plus 2 chips of milk chocolate coatings, stir until combined. This will make a light brown color for the mushrooms. Pour into the mushroom-shaped cavities.

Allow to cool and harden in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes. Once hardened, release from the mold and set aside.

To assemble the pizza
Melt the remaining red chips, spread out onto the chocolate pizza crust and let harden for about 5 minutes at room temperature. This will give the look of pizza sauce.

Drizzle melted white chocolate for the “cheese” and then immediately place toppings onto the melted white chocolate. Let fully harden at room temperature for about 5 to 10 minutes.
